This kyu promotion is by invitation only. More information and promotion applications are distributed upon invitation.

​

If you believe that you know your syllabus material and that you may be ready to promote to the next kyu, talk to your instructor at least one month before the next promotion date so that they may asses you and give you feedback.

​

Kyu promotions are *typically* (but not always) held four times a year in February, May, August, and November, for those moving to 8th kyu (Blue Belt) to 1st kyu (Advanced Brown Belt). Promotions to 9th kyu (advanced white belt) are usually in-class at an instructor's discretion without need for an application or fee.

Seido Registration Renewals due December 1, 2023

All members of Howard County Seido Karate whose memberships in the International Seido Organization expire this year must renew by December 1, 2023. Emails and letters will go out to those members who must renew this year. One-year membership in the International Seido Karate Organization is $20/person; three-year membership is $40/person.
